The Chantry Quire and Chantry Camerata perform Bach's St John Passion, with their music director Peter Allwood.

St John Passion is a dramatic, intensely expressive setting of the Passion story as told in the Gospel of John. First performed in Leipzig in 1724, it combines biblical narration with poetic reflections to depict the trial, suffering, and crucifixion of Christ.
Structured around a clear narrative delivered by the Evangelist in recitative, the soloists and chorus take on the roles of Jesus, Pilates and the crowd. Interwoven chorales invite the listener to communal reflection.

Performed in the stunning setting of Boxgrove Priory, this is a concert not to be missed.
Tickets are £20, and are available by clicking the link below.
